Riwo is an emerging vocalist with Nigerian roots. She has been sharing her gift of song with Edmonton audiences since her move to Canada. On January 19th, 2024, Riwo hosted her album release party backed by Melafrique at the Edmonton Rec Room stage. Attendees had the privilege of hearing songs live from her debut album, Grown Child, which shares songs that have been brewing since her childhood with themes of love, faith, empowerment and personal growth. The evening began with R & B opener Lexi Pas’ velvety voice. Riwo then took the stage with her opener “Warrior”. The show featured Riwo’s beautiful, powerful vocal range, emotion, a variety of musical styles, and an eye-catching visual display playing on the large screen behind her. Riwo is a vocal force like no other!
